Two arrested following fatal collision in Wolverhampton

We've arrested two people after a woman died in a non-stop collision in Wolverhampton last night (11 October). 

We were called to Birmingham Road, near Johnson Street, shortly after 10pm. 

A woman in her 20s had been hit by a car and was tragically confirmed dead at the scene. 

A man aged 24 and a woman aged 23 have both been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and remain in police custody. 

The vehicle thought to have been involved in the collision has now been recovered as part of our investigation, and we are grateful to everyone who shared our earlier appeal to find it.
